Teacher's Responsibilities
Teachers work together with IEC staff before heading to Belize
to ensure that students are properly prepared and the learning objectives
have been incorporated into the itinerary. Once on the trip, teachers
work with trip leaders and guides to ensure a smooth flow of activities.
Typically, teachers will be involved with achieving the learning
objectives of the trip, assigning sleeping arrangements, mustering
students to staging areas for meals and activities and defining
standards for accepted student behavior.
Student Responsibilities
Students should eagerly participate in activities and respond
fully to direction from leaders, guides, and teachers. They will
also assist with camp set-up and simple chores such as meal preparation
and clean up.
